don't mp3's lack the dynamic range of audio CD's?
Me and my roommates keep having this discussion. I refuse to by an iPod because I'm positive that mp3's lack the dynamic range of my audio CD's. I have an excellent $5000 stereo in my living room and I use a Vintage Sony D-25S discman with Bose Triports. When I listen to my CD's on these two systems and then when I listen to similar music on my friends iPod's, I'm positive that the mp3's are "clipped" at the High End especially. The dynamic range just doesn't seem to match that of the CD's. Is this true? I know iPod's are convenient but don't we all wan't to listen to music the way the audio engineers want us too?
CD quality is greater because a mp3 is a compressed file that makes it 10 times smaller than a CD so that it can take up less space. Yes mp3's are a lesser quality you are right.
Audi first shots of 2010 - both muscular If the first two Audi models are good, 2010 will be a vintage year.
