Questions about stereo components: What is the difference between an amplifier and a receiver?
I want to connect a CD and a Tape Recorder, and I have a "built-in Stereo Amplifier and a TV / FM / AM Stereo Receiver. Should I take one of those running components through or what? I wonder cuz they both have the same inputs (except for the cable outlets, which I use) and the speaker outputs, but the amplifier has an input for a tuner.
You've answered your question without even knowing it! The receiver has a "tuner" in him, namely: AM / FM / TV and the amplifier has an "entry" for the tuner! In general, the PPA has a better specification s the extent of the ratio of power and signal to noise ratio (SNR), but not always! The reason is called an "Integrated Stereo amp is because the preamplifier and main amplifier (or amplifier output) are combined in one unit. On the stereo equipment High End pre-amplifier amplifier as a separate unit because of the different energy needs and problems of RF interference Release .... among other things ........... sooooo my question to you would be first, what brands are the shutters? How big or small are the speakers? and what is the listening environment like? The answer to these questions and perhaps a little more would be useful to answer your question more bottom! Anyway, I hope this helped and feel free to answer questions from others and I'll try to help make the best choice!
