The historical data of sales from Yahoo Finance in six market indices are identical. How can it be?
I can use data volume exchange as part of my technical analysis, writing and lectures widely. At first I was delighted to see that Yahoo Finance provides data on daily trading volume in the S & P 500 (^ GSPC) until the end of 1950. I write a book that includes analysis of long-term trends in the market, and would love to trust and use the data volume is reported. But I was appalled that the volumes of data are exactly the same as you are aware of market indices of five - ^ NYA, ^ DJI, ^ DJI, ^ DJT, and OEX. Of course, these six is not exactly the same amount each business day, as there are different actions in each of six. How to generate the volume numbers to report on these six years? What really represent?
