Stereo Record

I sing and I want to record my songs on my stereo to my laptop. How do I connect these? Which cable should I use?

I recordign audio software on my laptop that can keep my songs in mp3 format (hopefully) in. Can anyone help?

1st thing you must have a microphone on your laptop, portable microphone to connect to your laptop so you can save. Then use the program for recording. Unless you have any problems with the program, a program called Audacity, which can be used to record things and lets you edit your recordings. Also have to download LAME to enable MP3 encoding.
