Rectifier? Guitar Amp in particular?

I know that a rectifier is a device for converting AC to DC, and a diode or Amplifier Vacuum tube is used to rectify alternating current from the cap and turn it into direct current to drive the speakers. I notice the term used frequently, guitar amps that do not seem related to this process. For example, the rectifier Mesa Boogie Dual and Triple models Reference rectifier is connected to the tone of the amplifier. I am a little confused, it seems there is a difference in what is a rectifier. It's just a term used by manufacturers to the AGP market, because it's a cool name, or is there a difference in what this term means rectifier for different applications? How the effect of your correction? Or is it just completely disregarded the term? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Much is placing on the market as planned. But you're in the money - a rectifier converts alternating current before being transmitted to the feeding tubes. But the importance of a rectifier double or triple compared with single rectifier models is that they use a base rectifier tube instead of a silicon diode as common with one rectifier. Most fans prefer Tube Amplifier path in a diode for same reason, they prefer tube Solid State - Theres natural "heat" because of the characteristics of cutting the tubes.
