Some handheld computers like yours will be debited directly from a source of 12 volts, but some of them require lower voltages for who need the adapter to charge a car battery. You should be able to find the charging voltage somewhere in the manual owner. You can download both the owner and Internet Service Manual, although it is not free. If the specifications say the load 12 volts is fine, just a question of having a cable connector on your radio and connects to the plug that goes into the cigarette lighter (make sure the polarity is correct). But if your load is less stress, such as 5 or 9, you should play safe and get the right car charger Kenwood.
