Replacement capacitors Axial, I use one with the same number of UF, but a lower voltage, w / o loss of performance?

I need to replace a capacitor 47UF 50V Axial. I have only 47UF 40V. The difference is 10 volts (20% decrease) effect my release, or Is this only a maximum? The application endpoint is a tattoo machine, 2 single coil, 1 capacitor, 1 point of contact.

It depends that the application is. If you put 50 volts Capacitor 40 Volts May explode. Put if you only have 40 volts there is no difference.
