Strong Matched Pair
Strong Matched Pair
Do I have to buy new glasses to match my new contacts prescription?
I received a new contacts prescription (less strong) and still have my old pair of glasses. Can I still use my old glasses or should the prescriptions match?
If the difference is fairly small, there is no problem (it won't trash your eyes or anything like that). If the glasses with the old prescription are giving you headaches, you probably ought to get new ones. Note: sometimes the prescription for contacts is deliberately made slightly less strong than your glasses prescription; this has to do with the fact that the contact lenses sit directly on the eye so the physics is a little different.
